Is this Amazon deal real?

Paste any Amazon product link. We compare today's price per unit with that product's own 90-day history, not Amazon's sale label.

How it works

  1. Copy the link from the Amazon app or site (Share, then Copy link).
  2. Paste it on this page. We find the product and look up its own price history.
  3. See whether today's price per unit is at its low, below its usual price, or just a sale label.

What the verdicts mean

  • At its 90-day low: Today's price per unit is within 2% of the lowest we recorded in 90 days, and at least 2% below the usual price.
  • X% below its usual price: Today's price per unit is at least 5% below the 90-day median.
  • Around its usual price: Today's price per unit is within 5% of the 90-day median, so the sale label does not mean much.
  • X% above its usual price: Today's price per unit is at least 5% above the 90-day median. It has usually cost less.
  • Not enough price history yet: We need at least 8 price captures over 14 days, with one in the last 3 days, before we give a verdict.

Common questions

How do I know if an Amazon deal is real?

Compare today's price per unit with the same product's own price history, not with Amazon's list price or sale label. If the price is at or near its 90-day low, or clearly below its 90-day median, the deal is real. If it sits around its usual price, the discount is only a label. Paste an Amazon link at https://dealophant.com/check to see that comparison.

What does at its 90-day low mean?

It means today's price per unit is within 2% of the lowest price Dealophant recorded for that product in the last 90 days, and at least 2% below its usual (median) price.

Why does a product say not enough price history?

Dealophant needs at least 8 price captures over 14 days, with one in the last 3 days, before it gives a verdict. Products we have not tracked long enough are left without one rather than guessed.
